Square Enix releases new soundtrack for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD

The Final Fantasy Type-0 HD soundtrack is titled ‘UTAKATA’

Just like the game, Final Fantasy Type 0-HD’s soundtrack will also be getting an overhaul. Developers Square Enix has now released a music video featuring the updated soundtrack for the game.

According to a report by Nova Crystallis, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD’s composer, Takeharu Ishimoto, has made an extra effort to remaster the games original soundtrack as well as compose a brand new piece of vocal music that should play during an additional secret movie. This is very similar to Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD’s music was altered.

The music video uploaded by Square Enix is titled ‘UTAKATA’, which translates to Transience in English. The new song was composed by Ishimoto with l vocals by ChriS Ito. Ito is also responsible for the song’s lyrics as well.

The track is sung in Japanese and will be included as a part of the Final Fantasy Type-0 HD’s original soundtrack set, which is slated to release in Japan on March 25th. The music video is about 6:30 minutes long and features Ito and the band singing the new composition flawlessly. The video, however, does not feature any gameplay footage but it is still worth listening to if you are an FF Type-0 fan.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be available on March 17th in North America and on March 20th in Europe for the PlayStation 4, and Xbox One . The game will also come bundled with a demo copy of Final Fantasy XV, though this is limited to the first shipment of the game.
