Street Fighter 5 Beta set to release in North America on August 25th

A still from Street Fighter 5

Street Fighter is undoubtedly one of the most iconic games of all time, and its latest version, Street Fighter V, is set for a Beta release in North America today.

The news comes as a welcome announcement, as the initial version meant for the Playstation 4 ran into technical problems after which it was dropped.

Developer Capcom broke the news via Unity Blog and stated that the Beta version will be released in North America after tests in Europe and Asia proved successful. The game will also be released in South America one day after its neighbours.

Capcom will also offer a five-day global beta test if the version released in North America is playable without a glitch. The developer will also announce dates for the global beta release if the game is received successfully in the Americas.

Street Fighter is one game that can be played by every generation so let’s hope a global beta release is made possible soon.
