Tekken 7 coming to an arcade in Japan on February 18th

Japanese gamers are a lucky bunch, they usually get their releases on time or even before the rest of the world. And now it’s been announced that Tekken 7 will be arriving earlier than originally planned, granted this is only at a specific arcade.

According to a recent tweet by Japanese arcade Super Nova Fukushima, the Tekken 7 arcade cabinet will be arriving on February 18th, 2015, almost a month before its scheduled release in Japan. This makes Super Nova Fukushima the first arcade in the world to receive the Tekken 7 arcade cabinets.

Tekken 7 Director, Katsuhiro Harada has confirmed via Twitter that the cabinet is a ’pre-launch’ version of the game and the ‘full version’ will be rolling out in arcades across Japan in March.

So if you’re one of the lucky few who happen to live in Japan, or just visiting, you can head over to Super Nova Fukushima and try out the much anticipated beat-em-up sequel before the rest of the world.

Bandai Namco is also bringing the games arcade cabinets to events around the world, though North American events have been prioritized over others. This is because Tekken 7 is part of the line-up for EVO 2015 and gamers will need tons of practise to prepare for the tournament.

Bandai Namco is yet to announce a North American release date for the game, but it should probably arrive sometime after EVO 2015. They have also been pretty quiet about a possible console release but hopefully we should hear about this sometime soon.
