The fairy tale themed dark hack ‘n’ slash platformer, Woolfe: The Redhood Diaries, has just launched on Steam’s early access. The GRIN Studio’s title was funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign back in August, 2014, and earned well over its original funding goal, giving the devs enough money to start working on their grim hack ‘n’ slash title. The game is now available on Early Access so the team can get valuable player feedback and polish their title before the release of Volume 1 on March 17th.

Founder and CEO of GRIN, Wim Wouters, has stated that they are “looking forward to receiving valuable player feedback through Early Access so that we can deliver an exciting experience that Red would be proud of.”

GRIN Studios dark take on the much loved childrens fairy tale will see its protagonist, Red, journey alone after the death of her father. The team hopes the game will deliver a “rich, visual experience” to players. The 2.5D action platformer will include environmental puzzles which players can manipulate to take down multiple enemies. The Early Access price for Woolfe: The Redhood Diaries will not change once game launches. Check out the pre-alpha gameplay trailer for Woolfe: The Redhood Diaries below:
