Arsenal Transfer News: Eboue and Jay Emmanuel Thomas Headed Out of Emirates

It seems that the exodus of players leaving Arsenal has well and truly begun, with Eboue and JET (Jay Emmanuel-Thomas) leading the way out.

The fact is that Arsenal have only sold one senior player prior to this and that’s Clichy. Eboue and JET are both leaving because they are deemed surplus to requirements at the Emirates. It seems as though although Eboue’s error-prone season has cost him dearly, with his error against Liverpool high up on that error list, and recent reports suggest that Wenger is getting tired of his errors.

Eboue is set to complete a move to Turkish outfit Galatasaray in the coming days, with the transfer fee hinted to be around 4 million pounds according to The Guardian.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas is staying in England, and it’s reported that Arsenal have struck a deal with Championship side Ipswich Town over their young midfielder. Arsenal had accepted two bids over the weekend, with the other being to Burnley, however JET turned down the opportunity to move to Burnley.

That transfer is set to go through subject to a medical and this comes after Arsene Wenger had spoken to him about him not featuring in his first team plans for next season. JET has had impressive loan spells with Doncaster and Blackpool, however a disappointing 2010/11 season with Cardiff left his career in the balance.

Others set to be cleared out include their young Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner, Manuel Almunia and potentially relatively new signing, Sebastian Squillaci.
