Scott also had a solid season in America and his history in professional golf makes him a fan favorite.

Another highly anticipated group will be Rory McIlroy, Thriston Lawrence and Rasmus Hojgaard, who hold the top 3 spots (in that order) on the DP World Tour standings (dubbed the Race to Dubai).

McIlroy leads the rankings by more than 1,500 points, while Lawrence and Hojgaard will be looking to consolidate their status as leaders of the list of 10 players who will earn their PGA Tour card for 2025 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.

Tommy Fleetwood, Robert MacIntyre and Shane Lowry will play in the final group of the first round at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. MacIntyre is coming off the best season of his career so far with two wins, including his home tournament (Scottish Open).
