2024 Travelers Championship: Round 1 tee times and pairings explored

The 2024 Travelers Championship is set to take place at the TPC River Highlands course in Cromwell, Conneticut, from June 20 to 23. The final PGA Tour Signature event of the season will feature a whopping $20 million purse prize and 700 FedEx Cup points.

According to the PGA Tour, the Travelers Championship Tournament Director, Nathan Grube, describes this year's field as "as good as it can get." The field number currently sits at 71 and includes the best players in the game.

After a devastating loss at the recently concluded U.S. Open, Rory McIlroy has withdrawn from the Signature event. Despite missing the cut at this week's Major championship, Scottie Scheffler will tee it up at TPC River Highlands in an attempt to earn his sixth title of the season.

As per PGA Tour rules, Signature events have limited fields and comprise only the world's best players. Here's a look at how the 71 players made it to the 2024 Travelers Championship field.

Michael Thorbjornsen, Adam Scott, Webb Simpson, and Billy Horschel will be playing thanks to a sponsor's exemption. 15 players from the Aon Swing 5 will be playing the Signature Event.

The top four players of the Comcast Business Tour rankings will also play in the 2024 Travelers Championship. They are Hideki Matsuyama, Ludvig Aberg, Byeong Hun An, and Patrick Cantlay.
