The DP World Tour is organizing the BMW PGA Championship at the Wentworth Club from September 19 to September 22. Following this event, seven DP World Tour events will remain, the last of which is the DP World Tour Championship.
The purse of the BMW PGA Championship is $9 million. The winner will receive $1.53 million and the runner-up will bag $990,000. Last year, Ryan Fox won the title and the golfer will look to defend his title this year. Besides him, several fan favorites will be playing on the course.

Top five to watch at the BMW PGA Championship
#Rory McIlroy
Rory McIlroy finished in a tie for 7th place in the 2023 BMW PGA Championship. This year, the Irishman returns as the highest-ranked golfer in the field. The World No. 3 has top-3 finishes in all the three DP World events he participated in.
He triumphed in the 2024 Hero Dubai Desert Classic with 14-under 274, scoring 71, 70, 63, and 70 in the four rounds, respectively. He finished second at the Dubai Invitational with a score of 18-under 266. McIlroy had another second-position finish at the Amgen Irish Open with 8-under 276.
#Tommy Fleetwood
Last year, Tommy Fleetwood finished in sixth place on the BMW PGA Championship leaderboard and returns this year as the World No. 12. Before this DP World Tour event, Fleetwood participated in two other DP World Tour events: the Dubai Invitational and the Hero Dubai Desert Classic. Of these two, he won the Dubai Invitational and finished in a tie for 16th place in the latter.
#Ryan Fox
Ryan Fox won the BMW PGA Championship title last year. He defeated Aaron Rai by one stroke and sealed the trophy with a score of 18-under at Wentworth.
Before this event, Fox missed the cutline at the Amgen Irish Open and finished at T17 at the BMW International Open. He also played the Dubai Invitational and the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, landing at T14 and T31, respectively.

Billy Horschel finished T18 in the 2023 BMW PGA Championship with a score of 10-under. This year, Horschel has won one tournament on the PGA Tour, namely the Corales Puntacana Championship. He finished with a score of 23-under 265 to life the trophy.
#Shane Lowry
Shane Lowry finished tied for 18th in the 2023 BMW PGA Championship, along with Billy Horschel. This year, Lowry has played in two DP World Tour tournaments. He played at the Porsche Singapore Classic to finish at T29. Next, the golfer played at the Amgen Irish Open to finish at T12.
