SINGAPORE (AFP) –
World number four Stacy Lewis won the HSBC Women’s Champions by just one shot from South Korea’s Choi Na-Yeon after a thrilling final round on Sunday.
Lewis carded a scintillating eagle on the par-five seventh but then bogeyed 15 and 17 before clinching it with a two-foot par putt on the last for a score of 71 and 15-under-par 273 at Singapore’s par-72 Sentosa Golf Club.
Choi, the world number two, carded 72 for 14-under 274 and Paula Creamer, who is recovering from whiplash injuries after a car crash last week in Thailand, was a shot further back in third.
