The women's golf competition of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games concluded on Saturday, August 10, at Le Golf National's Albatross Course. Lydia Ko ended up winning the gold medal, as she finished one stroke ahead of Esther Henseleit. The American team had two players in contention for the title going into the fourth round: Rose Zhang (T3) and Nelly Korda (T7). However, both produced poor performances, and so the U.S. failed to secure a medal in the event.Zhang played the fourth round with three birdies, three bogeys, and one double bogey (+2). The performance brought her score for the event to 5-under. The 21-year-old finished T8, five shots behind champion Lydia Ko.Korda, meanwhile, endured a rollercoaster round. She started strong with birdies on the 2nd and 3rd but stumbled with bogeys on the 5th and 7th. A birdie on the 9th helped the 27-year-old turn in 1 under par. The World No. 1 golfer then bogeyed the 13th and birdied the 14th. However, her round took a dramatic turn with a triple bogey on the 15th and a bogey on the 17th. This late collapse left her with a final round of 1 under par and a disappointing T22 finish. The third member of the U.S. team, Lilia Vu, unfortunately struggled in the final two rounds. Vu, 26, shot rounds of 76 and 74 to finish with a disappointing total of 5 over par and a T36 placement.Final leaderboard of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Golf EventHere is the final leaderboard for women's golf at the Paris Olympics 2024:1 Lydia Ko -102 Esther Henseleit -83 Xiyu Lin -7T4 Bianca Pagdanganan -6T4 Hannah Green -6T4 Amy Yang -6T4 Miyu Yamashita -6T8 Wei-Ling Hsu -5T8 Rose Zhang -5T10 Maja Stark -4T10 Ruoning Yin -4T10 Mariajo Uribe -4T13 Albane Valenzuela -3T13 Dottie Ardina -3T13 Azahara Munoz -3T13 Ashleigh Buhai -3T13 Brooke M.
