Germany’s Marcel Siem holed in one at the second as he made up three shots on the leaders in two holes in the final round of the PGA Championship here at Wentworth.

Siem, two-under par overnight and nine shots adrift of front runner Luke Donald, birdied the par-4 first before holing an 8-iron on the 160-yard par-3 second to move to five under the card.

The German’s ace was the first hole-in-one at the championship since 2008 and the first at the second hole since Donald achieved the feat six years ago.

Donald was due out at 1240GMT with fellow Englishman Justin Rose who was two strokes behind on nine-under par.

Donald will reclaim his number one world ranking from Rory McIlroy if he finishes in the top eight of this, the European Tour’s most prestigious event.
