The third round of the Paris 2024 Olympic Golf Event was played on Saturday, August 3. Xander Schauffele leads the American contingent for the third consecutive day, once again sharing the lead with Spaniard Jon Rahm.Schauffele had an eagle, two birdies and a bogey on the so-called "moving day" (3-under) to stay in first place. His 54-hole score is 14 under.Scottie Scheffler is the second-highest-ranked player among US Olympic golfers. Scheffler carded six birdies and two bogeys in the third round to move to 9-under (T6) for the tournament.Wyndham Clark and Collin Morikawa are tied for 23rd place. Clark has improved significantly since the first day with rounds of 75, 68 and 65.During the moving day, Clark made a double bogey on the second hole, but from there, he was a different player. He carded seven birdies and no bogeys over the next 16 holes to move to 5-under for the tournament.Morikawa, meanwhile, carded four birdies, a bogey and a double bogey in the third round.The US Olympic Golf Team will tee off for the final round with Collin Morikawa, who begins at 5:06 AM Eastern Time.
