After an intense two days of golf, it was the team from Delhi comprising of Bharat Dhawan (Mazars), Avesh Bhatnagar (M/S Bhatnagar Agencies), Ravi Khanna (Kwikforms Structurals) and Saurabh Sood (GATX) that prevailed with a combined score of 105 points. We at Sportskeeda had the opportunity to speak to the winning team and get their feedback on the tournament that was being played for the twentieth consecutive year.

Saurabh Sood was all praise for the tournament and said that it is one of the most-awaited events of the year in the amateur golfing circuit. “I must say that the tournament was wonderfully organized and it was great fun to play.

The addition of the professional golfers was a huge boost for us as it was great to learn from the pros and take a cue from them,” said Mr. Sood. He also said that he, along with all his golfing buddies, are already looking forward to next year’s event.

When asked whether the tournament was more of a recreational one or a competitive one, Bharat Dhawan stated that it was a blend of both features. He said, “While the main objective of the competition was to go out and have some fun, it became quite tense out there on the course towards the end. Everyone wanted to win and it was a great challenge for us to finish on the top.”

Both golfers were quizzed on their experience playing the sport and both stated that they had been playing golf since a very young age. “I played all sorts of sports as a kid but golf was always on top of the list and I can gladly say that I have been playing it since I was ten and the passion for the game remains the same!”, said Mr. Sood with a wide smile.
