Bryson DeChambeau is set to tee it up at the Oakmont Country Club this week from June 12 to 15. As the defending champion of the US Open, he is one of the 14 LIV Golf players on the field list.

During a press conference prior to the start of the Major championship, he was asked about his contract with LIV Golf, which is set to expire next year. DeChambeau stated that he seeks to negotiate a new contract by the end of this year.

Bryson DeChambeau stated that LIV Golf 'is not going anywhere' as he gears up to continue playing in the Saudi-based league. He also went on to praise Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's Tomorrow Golf League, which a fan appreciated.

DeChambeau signed with LIV Golf for a reported $125 million according to the New York Times' The Athletic. One X commented that his potential renewed contract would also come with a big signing bonus.

How many times has Bryson DeChambeau won the US Open?

Bryson DeChambeau stars in the field this week as a two-time US Open champion. He won his first Major championship at the Winged Foot Golf Club's West Course in 2020 with a total 6 under par score.

Since then, the LIV Golf star has made the cut in all his US Open appearances, which led to another victory. DeChambeau won the tournament last year by one stroke over Rory McIlroy at the Pinehurst Resort and Country Club's No. 2 Course.

The last time the American golfer played the US Open at the Oakmont Country Club was in 2016. Having recorded a top-15 finish then, he is looking to defend his title this week.
