The Augusta National Women’s Amateur is back for a fourth edition. The event will take place the week before The Masters and will have every player in the Women's World Amateur Golf Ranking’s top 10 competing.

The upcoming Augusta National Women’s Amateur features the strongest field so far. Players including the likes of World No. 1 American Rose Zhang and World No. 2 Ingrid Lindblad will go up against each other for the top prize. While Zhang remains favorite, players like Lindblad, World No. 3 Japanese Saki Baba, 2021 champion Tsubasa Kajitani, and American Anna Davis, among others, will ensure fiery competition.

The event, scheduled to tee off on Wednesday, March 29, and continue till April 1, will see its first 36 holes being played at Georgia’s Champions Retreat Golf Club. Following this, the 30 golfers who make the cut will head to Augusta National for the final round. The prestigious event will also be a major break for the Amateur stars’ careers.

The first-ever Augusta National Women's Amateur was held in 2019. It was won by Jennifer Kupcho. The American golfer beat Maria Fassi by four shots to lift the trophy. She has since won three LPGA Tour titles, including the 2022 Chevron Championship. The event took a break in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and returned in 2021.

Tsubasa Kajitani won the year’s outing in a playoff. The 2022 edition of the event was won by American Anna Davis, who’ll be returning to defend her title.
