The 2023 Valspar Championship will begin on Thursday, March 16, as the PGA Tour's Florida swing ends with the Copperhead course in Palm Harbor. The 21st event of the PGA Tour's 2023 calendar will have a field of 144 players.

Sam Burns has won the Valspar Championship twice in a row

The 2023 Valspar Championship will take place from March 16 to March 19. The purse size of the tournament is $8.1 million.

Despite big names Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm, and Rory McIlroy not playing this week, the Copperhead course event will not be short of star power as the likes of Jordan Spieth, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Justin Thomas will feature in the 144-player field, among others.

Reigning champion Sam Burns will look to win the Valspar Championship for the third straight year after defending his 2021 victory last year.
