2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship: Odds and best bets explored

The 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship will mark the beginning of the post-season playoff after the PGA Tour season. The top 70 players in the FedEx Cup rankings will be making their debut this weekend in a bid to win the first step of the FedEx Cup.

Scottie Scheffler, who topped the FedEx Cup rankings, is the top favorite to win the FedEx St. Jude Championship with odds of +360 (via CBS Sports). He is followed by Xander Schauffele (+750) and Rory McIlroy (+900).

Aaron Rai, coming fresh off a win at the 2024 Wyndham Championship, enters the tournament with odds of +4500. Other favorites to win the FedEx St. Jude event include the likes of Ludvig Aberg (+2000), Collin Morikawa (+1400) and Patrick Cantlay (+2500).

The likes of Victor Perez and Emiliano Grillo who currently sit at the bottom of the rankings, have to produce a good performance in order to make the 50 golfer cut for the next tournament, the BMW Championship.

The FedEx Cup playoffs will feature three tournaments over the span of two months: the FedEx St. Jude Championship, the BMW Championship and the Tour Championship. The winner of the FedEx Cup will receive $25 million out of the $100 million prize purse.
