2024 FM Championship Round 1 suspended: Provisional leaderboard explored

The first round of the 2024 FM Championship was suspended due to darkness with only three players left to complete the round. The day was very competitive and provisionally ended with 29 players within three shots or less of the lead.

The round will resume Friday at 7:30 a.m. (Eastern Time), while the second round will start at 7:15 a.m. (Eastern Time) as scheduled.

Germany's Sandra Gal, France's Agathe Laisne and China's Muni He are the three remaining players to complete the round. All three are in the same group and will play the 17th hole.

Gal and Laisne are tied for 83rd with a 3-over score. He is tied for 133rd with a score of 7 over.

LPGA Tour veteran Marina Alex leads the FM Championship after the first round. Eight players are tied for second, including several recently announced players for the upcoming Solheim Cup.

Marina Alex's performance in the first round of the FM Championship included four birdies and no bogeys. Alex is playing her 11th season on the LPGA Tour and has two victories on the circuit- the 2018 Cambia Portland Classic and the 2022 Palos Verdes Championship.
