The third round of the 2024 Shriners Children's Open was suspended due to darkness at the TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas. 30 players were unable to complete their round and will resume at 5:00 am Eastern Time on Sunday.The PGA Tour's X (formerly Twitter) communications account also reported that groups of three players will be formed for the final round, starting on the first and 10th tees, in an attempt to avoid a Monday finish.Doug Ghim and J.T. J.T. Poston, meanwhile, carded a bogey-free eagle with five holes to play.Ghim's performance saw him climb 12 places to tie for the lead, while Poston maintained his position from the previous round. Other big movers were Gary Woodland and Kurt Kitayama, who moved up 10 places to tie for third after identical 6-under scores on Saturday.Co-leader after the second round, Matti Schmid, has dropped six places after posting an even-par score with five holes to play. The German carded three birdies, one bogey, and one double bogey in the first 13 holes.
