Pablo Larrazabal recently made his stance clear on Marco Penge's betting fiasco. DP World Tour has suspended Penge for three months for breaching its betting rules.DP World Tour veteran and nine-time winner Larrazabal expressed his support for Penge in a recent post on X. Quoting Penge's update on his betting fiasco, Larrazabal wrote:"All with you buddy … see you soon (flexed bicep emojis)"The 26-year-old English player's three-month suspension started on December 13. One month of his suspension is conditional and he will remain suspended for a year, therefore he'll be able to resume play on February 13. He has also been fined 2,000 pounds for violations. The case came to light in April 2024 after a betting agency informed the Tour about Marco Penge's activities. The 26-year-old had placed bets on golf events in 2022 and early 2023 with an average stake of £24 and a total profit of approximately £250.In the statement released by Penge, he said that his wagers were entirely positive bets, and he rooted for players to win rather than lose in major tournaments and the Ryder Cup. He wrote:"I genuinely thought it was ok to bet on golf as long as it wasn't on myself or tournaments I was competing in. After I had found out that I had breached the rules and revisited the Integrity Policy at greater depth, it was only then that I realised this wasn't the case."This was all a genuine and honest mistake that I have taken full responsibility for and I will never ever make the same mistake again," he added.Penge lately competed in the ISPS Handa Australian Open where he tied for 27th. He will next compete in the 2025 Magical Kenya Open at Muthaiga GC in Nairobi, Kenya. The tournament will be held from February 20 to 23.A look at Marco Penge's performance in 2024Marco Penge has had an underwhelming 2024 season. In 29 starts on the DP World Tour, he made 10 cuts.
