Bryson DeChambeau is all set to tee it up at the upcoming 2025 LIV Golf Virginia, taking place from June 6 to 8 at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville. The Crushers GC captain currently sits second in the 2025 LIV Golf individual standings.
DeChambeau spoke about his excitement ahead of the event and gave full credit to his team during a pre-tournament press conference.
"I think the crowd atmosphere is going to be electric. Personally I'm excited to see the fans out here, and hopefully they can cheer me on, cheer the Crushers on as hard as we possibly can. You've got to remember it's not just about me as well,β DeChambeau said.
The Crushers GC team, which includes Paul Casey, Charles Howell III, and Anirban Lahiri, has climbed to third place in the team standings this season. Bryson DeChambeau praised his teammatesβ efforts, saying:
"I mean, my team, the Crushers, we've been playing well. They won last week, so I've got to give my hats off to them and how hard they've been working to play as good as they can. And I want them up there competing for the individual championship as well."
Looking ahead to the home support, he added:
"But the crowds are going to be great. I hope they're rooting the Crushers on. And I know they will be, and I'm excited to see them out here this week."
So far in the 2025 season, the Crushers GC have shown consistent form. They started the year with a fourth-place finish in Riyadh, matched that result in Adelaide, came ninth in Hong Kong, and finished fifth in Singapore.
The team secured second place in Miami, finished fifth in Mexico City, and most recently claimed their first team win of the season in Korea, where DeChambeau also clinched his first individual trophy of 2025. As a result, the Crushers have collected 96 points and are trending upward in the team standings.
Bryson DeChambeau is all set to defend his title at U.S. Open 2025
Bryson DeChambeau will return to the U.S. Open next week as the defending champion, nearly a year after his dramatic win at Pinehurst No. 2. He secured his second U.S. Open title in 2024 by pulling off a clutch par save from a greenside bunker on the 18th hole, edging Rory McIlroy by one shot.
The 31-year-old has been in great form this season. He finished T5 at the 2025 Masters and came second behind Scottie Scheffler at the PGA Championship last month. He also finished runner-up at the 2024 PGA Championship.
Although he hasnβt played since the PGA, Bryson DeChambeauβs last LIV Golf appearance was a win in South Korea. Ahead of LIV Golf Virginia, he said the course conditions at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club are a good test before heading to Oakmont for the 2025 U.S. Open.
