Bryson DeChambeau won the 2024 US Open after a dramatic finish at Pinehurst. The LIV Golf star saved par on the 72nd hole with an impressive 50-yard bunker shot to beat World No. 2 Rory McIlroy by one stroke at the 124th edition of the Major championship. This was the former PGA Tour star’s second-ever Major win, and he now returns to defend his title.

DeChambeau will take on a stacked 156-player field, headlined by 48 of the top-50 ranked golfers in the world, at Oakmont Country club in Plum, Pennsylvania. However, the World No. 10 golfer isn’t the outright favorite to keep the trophy. The LIV star trails World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler on the odds list.

According to SportsLine, Scheffler enters the contest with 28-1 odds while the reigning champion sits behind him with 70-1 odds. Interestingly, last year’s runner-up and reigning Masters champion McIlroy takes third place on the list with 110-1 odds.

It is pertinent to note that DeChambeau comes into the US Open weekend on the back of some strong LIV Golf outings. For the unversed, the 31-year-old has so far managed six top-10 finishes from eight starts on the breakaway tour. He also won LIV Korea and currently sits second on the Saudi-backed circuit’s individual standings behind Joaquin Niemann.

Notably, DeChambeau also made some moves at the two Major outings this season. He finished T5 at the Masters, his best ever finish at the Augusta event, and also impressed with a T2 at the PGA Championship. He fell short at Quail Hollow by five shots as Scheffler recorded a big win.

Coming off the back of a T4 finish at LIV Virginia, the Crushers GC captain will be eyeing his first major title of the season this weekend.

Listed below is Bryson DeChambeau’s 2025 season so far with scores:
