“Christmas has come early”: Charley Hull gets a special gift from golf apparel giant weeks ahead of holidays

English golfer Charley Hull took to Instagram to share a special package from Malbon ahead of the holiday season. The Briton had signed on with the golf apparel brand earlier this year.

Hull posted a video on her Instagram stories of her unboxing a baby blue box from Malbon. She had placed the package near her decorated Christmas tree. The 28-year-old opened the box and showed the contents that included latest apparel drops in various colors. She wrote, with a string of different emojis:

"Christmas has come early."

Hull is known for her fashion statements on and off the field. She often opts for bright colors, oversized scrunchies, and pleated skirts during tournaments. The 2024 Aramco Team Series Riyadh winner spoke about her appreciation for the ongoing fashion movement in golf that allowed female players to go beyond the conservative rules and restrictions that had traditionally been placed in the sport. She said (via LPGA Tour in January 2024):

"It’s great that thanks to brands such as Malbon, women now have the chance to consider fashion when they get dressed for golf. I don’t think that was the case a few years ago,"

She further added:

"I think it’s also now possible to look good and be comfortable, especially on the golf course, and it’s even better that you can stay in what you’re wearing when you go out to meet friends post-golf!"

"I can be glamorous" - Charley Hull on golf and fashion

British golfer Charley Hull has a genuine love for fashion that has been nurtured in her through her "fashion conscious" sisters. However, her style really evovled in her 20s.

She stated in an interview on Sky Sports Editions in April 2024 that she likes to be unaplogetically "glamorous" (via Golf Monthly):

"I want to show my physique off, how strong I am as well and that I can be glamorous. I want to be unapologetic. That’s basically me. I don’t care what I wear, if I want to wear it I’ll wear it."

The golfer told the LPGA Tour that she prefers to be sporty but stylish.

"I like to look sporty but stylish, and I like clothes that accentuate my figure. Obviously a little less sporty off the course, but I love fashion and like to look equally stylish and hopefully a little bit chic."

Hull also said she considers 'Barbie' star Margot Robbie and former tennis sensation Anna Kournikova as her fashion idols. Hull often posts her outfits on social media.
