Tyrrell Hatton received Official World Golf Rankings points for winning the 2024 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, held from October 3 to 6. Hatton joined LIV Golf in 2024 and hasn't received OWGR points for his performances on the Saudi-backed Tour.
Hatton performed consistently well, and had a splendid third round, at the DP World Tour event held at the Old Course, Carnoustie, and Kingsbarn Links in St Andrews, Scotland. Hatton received 37.8 OWGR points, which took his total to 136 points.
The victory saw Hatton jump 18 spots from 38th to 20th on the OWGR list. He passed the likes of Aaron Rai, Sungjae Im, Tony Finau, and Shane Lowry to reach his new position.

He won $800,000 of the total $5 million given out as prize money at the tournament. He also received 835 Race to Dubai points and jumped from 67th to 16th in the standings. His win at the 2024 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship was his seventh DP World Tour win in the 196th start.
Nicolas Colsaerts, who finished as a runner-up at the tournament, jumped more than 500 spots in the rankings, from 695th to 192nd place. He received prize money of $533,330. Tommy Fleetwood, who finished third, jumped from 11th to 10th and took home $300,480.
Other notable jumps in ranking after the 2024 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship were made by Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen, who went from 137th to 103rd, David Puig, from 124th to 94th, and Robin Williams, who went from 276th to 211st.
