The US presidential candidate Donald Trump has taken a subtle dig at Mark Cuban, owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks team. One of the most well-known personalities in the country, Cuban is worth around $5.5 billion (according to Celebrity Net Worth).
Trump took to X and posted a statement that seems like a subtle dig at Cuban with a golfing analogy. He wrote,
"Mark Cuban is a Loser. Wouldn't take his phone calls anymore while at the White House, and he went rogue. A weak and pathetic "bully," he's got nothing going. Really low clubhead speed, a total non-athlete!"
A prominent golf Twitter account, NUCLR Golf, shared this tweet with a caption and asked the fans who would win an 18-hole match.
"Donald Trump calls out Mark Cuban, saying he has ‘really low clubhead speed.’ Who do you think wins an 18-hole match?"
Trump tweeted this in response to Cuban's support for his opposition candidate, Kamala Harris. Recently, the billionaire attended a rally and campaigned for Harris, a stark pivot in their relationship, as the billionaire praised Trump for becoming president in 2015.
Hence, the Republican candidate, in his tweet, revealed that Cuban did not attend his phone calls at the White House, and hence, went rogue and is campaigning against him.
Donald Trump reveals how he got into golf
Donald Trump's love for golf is not unknown. He loves to play and owns around 17 golf courses across the world. In an interview with Travis Miller, he revealed how he got into golf.
"I went to the Wharton School of Finance at Penn, and around college, I started picking it up and enjoyed it pretty much," Trump said. "Learned it, learned how to play on some public courses in Philadelphia."
"Cobbs Creek and Cara Kong, two courses, are right next to each other. And they were, they were sort of cool, and they had a lot of good players, a lot of hustling players from the area. And I had a lot of fun with that. It was good."
Since then, Donald Trump's love for golf has increased immensely, and he believes his game has gotten better with age as he recently won the Club Championship in Palm Beach.
"I believe I'm a better player now than I was 25 years ago," Trump said. "I just won the club championship in Palm Beach, where we have 21 scratch players. I won the seniors, and I played so well in the seniors that I said, 'Might as well play in the regular.' And I beat kids that are very good players," Trump said.
