“Gives me full 'JT' bragging rights” – Justin Thomas reacts to clipping ‘Other JT’ JT Poston at Valspar Championship

JT Poston and Justin Thomas (JT) are competing at the ongoing PGA Tour's Valspar Championship. Thomas had a solid start to the competition, settling into 12th position after the inaugural round.

JT and JT Poston played alongside each other to avoid confusion. Poston's caddie donned a bib with "The Other JT" written on it.

Poston shared a post on his Twitter account sharing a picture of both the JTs with the bib. He wrote in the caption:

"Justin Thomas clipped me today so I guess I'll wear it the rest of the week."

Thomas reshared the tweet on his account with a caption saying:

"Huge putt on the last to clip JT Poston by 1 today. Gives me full 'JT' bragging rights for tomorrow."

JT Poston made a birdie in the opening round of the Valspar Championship to finish with a scoring deficit of one. He finished in T23 alongside SH Kim, Cody Gribble, Wyndham Clark, Grayson Siggs, Patrick Rodgers, Brian Harman, Harry Higgs, Danny Guise, Mark Hubbard, Victor Perez, and Akshay Bhatia.

On the other hand, Thomas sank four birdies and a double bogey to finish at a score of 69. He finished ahead of the other JT Poston and bragged about full JT rights for the tournament's second round.

It is important to note that after the first round, Byeong Hun An topped the leaderboard alongside Ryan Brehm and Stephen Jaeger.

The second round will start at 7:30 am ET on Friday, March 17.
