Jon Rahm had his first LIV Golf triumph of 2024 at LIV Golf United Kingdom. He defeated Joaquin Niemann by one shot with a score of 13-under. Meanwhile, in the LIV Golf United Kingdom team competition, Rahm’s team, Legion XIII, took their fourth LIV triumph after LIV Golf Mayakoba, LIV Golf Miami, and LIV Golf Nashville. At LIV Golf Greenbrier, the golfer is eyeing a second triumph on the LIV circuit. Currently, he sits atop the leaderboard on 14-under. Rahm is two strokes ahead of Brooks Koepka and Talor Gooch.Rahm told LIV Golf that he has been playing well throughout the year and so has Joaquin Niemann. But Rahm has one triumph in the LIV league, while Niemann has two triumphs. In the week before the final event of the LIV circuit in Chicago, Rahm said he would like a second triumph to move up in the standings:“It would be pretty special. I've been playing good all year, and Joaquin has been playing fantastic golf all year. To give him a run for his money is good, but hopefully I can get the job done tomorrow and we have a nice little tight race going into Chicago,” Rahm said (via LIV Golf).Rahm also talked about how scoring in the 50s is often difficult. Last year, Bryson DeChambeau shot a record round of 58 and Rahm says he hopes to repeat it:“I wouldn't be expecting somebody to shoot in the 50s every single competitive year we have…I hope that someone is me. If I were to do it tomorrow, it would be very nice, do it in Bryson fashion and get a W with a round in the 50s,” Jon Rahm said.Rahm shot four birdies and one eagle to finish with 64 in the opening round. In the second round, he carded seven birdies and one eagle to land at 62. The third round will take place on Sunday.Besides Jon Rahm, where do others stand on the LIV Golf Greenbrier leaderboard after the second round? While Jon Rahm leads the LIV Golf Greenbrier leaderboard, Brooks Koepka is in second place with 12-under. Sergio Garcia is in 10th place, and Bryson DeChambeau, the defending champion, is in 16th place. Joaquin Niemann is in 20th place with 6-under and Phil Mickelson is in 27th place with 5-under.
