How many times has Bernhard Langer won the PNC Championship? Past results explored

On Sunday, December 22, Bernhard Langer and Jason Langer won the 2024 PNC Championship in a playoff hole. They tied with Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods at 28-under after the regulation hole, but an eagle on the extra hole sealed the title for the duo.

This was Langer's sixth win at the PNC Championship, the most in the history of the tournament. The golf veteran has won four with his younger son Jason, while the first two came with his older son, Stefan Langer.

Langer's first win came in 2005 when they beat Raymond Floyd and son Robert Floyd by a one-stroke margin. The following year, the duo defeated Vijay Singh and his son Qass Singh, and Bob Tway and his son Kevin Tway, to successfully defend their title.

Bernhard had to wait eight years for his next win at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club. However, this time he won with his son Jason, marking the beginning of one of the the best partnerships in this event. In 2014, the duo claimed their maiden title together, beating Davis Love III and son Dru Love by two shots.

Five years later, Bernhard and Jason trumped Retief Goosen and son Leo Goosen, as well as Tom Lehman and son Thomas Lehman, in a three-way playoff. Last year, the German veteran claimed his fifth PNC Championship and third with his younger son after beating David Duval and his son Brady Duval by two strokes.

With this week's win, Team Langer broke several records at the PNC Championship. The score of 28-under by them and Team Woods is the lowest in the tournament's history, as is the aggregate of 114. Besides, he broke Raymond Floyd's record for the most wins at this event.
