Matt Wallace of England has had 12 wins in his career so far. Wallace recently won his sixth title on the European Tour and 12th title overall at the Omega European Masters, held at Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club in Crans-Montana, Switzerland.
Wallace won the tournament in a playoff against Alfredo García-Heredia, with a birdie on the first extra hole. He scored 64 and 62 in the first two rounds to make the Friday cut. He was on the top of the leaderboard after two rounds and scored 73 and 70 in the final two rounds, to finish with an aggregate score of 11-under 269.
Born in Hillingdon, England in 1990, Wallace turned professional in 2012. He achieved a string of victories in 2016 on the Alps Tour. He had six wins that year - the Dreamland Pyramids Open, the Tunisian Golf Open, the Gösser Open, the Vigevano Open, the Open Frassanelle, and the Alps Tour Grand Final.
His seventh victory came in the 2017 Open de Portugal on the Challenge Tour. He won that tournament by three strokes over Julian Suri. He had a sensational 2018 season on the European Tour, where he registered three wins.
Matt Wallace's first European Tour victory came at the Hero Indian Open. He won the tournament in a playoff against Andrew Johnston with a birdie on the first extra hole. Three months later, in June, he won the BMW International Open by one stroke over Martin Kaymer, Mikko Korhonen, and Thorbjorn Olesen.
Two months later, he won the Made in Denmark in a playoff against Steve Brown, Jonathan Thomson, and Lee Westwood. Thomson and Westwood were eliminated on the first playoff hole after both Wallace and Brown scored birdies. Wallace won the tournament with a birdie on the second extra hole.
His first, and so far only, PGA Tour win came in 2023 at the Corales Puntacana Championship, which he won by one stroke over Nicolai Hojgaard.
