The DP World Tour recently made the latest announcement with regard to new membership opportunities for PGA TOUR members in its 2024 season. This will give rise to a further demonstration of the two Tours' existing strategic alliance's strength.

Golfers who will finish 126-200 on the PGA Tour's FedExCup Fall Points List will be eligible for full DP World Tour membership beginning next season. Overall, the opportunities will fall in two categories.

DP World Tour took to its official X (formerly Twitter) handle and shared:

Soon after the post went viral, golf admirers from across the world started sharing their viewpoints. A fan reacted by saying, "How to ruin the DP World Tour in 3 easy steps".

Another fan felt if golfers are not good for the PGA Tour, they may get entry into the DP Tour.

According to the latest announcement, players who have "played four or more counting tournaments outside the Majors" will be able to accumulate points.

If they get enough points, then they will qualify for the DP World Tour playoffs and a season-ending Bonus Pool by creating a new "Non-member Race to Dubai Points List."

The new PGA Tour candidates who take full membership, in contrast, will compete from a particular category, with only five players permitted to participate in an event each week.

Moreover, the new options, which were discussed and ratified by the DP World Tour Tournament Committee, are a continuation of the Ten Cards initiative agreed upon last year.

Under the rulings, the top ten players who are not otherwise exempt from the 2023 Race to Dubai will receive PGA Tour cards for the 2024 season. Following the top 125 players on the Fall Points List, they will be ranked.

Speaking about the same, Chief Executive of the DP World Tour, Keith Pelley, said:

"Our 10 cards initiative will give the opportunity for DP World Tour members to excel on the PGA Tour next season."
"This new membership opportunity announced today will give PGA Tour members the chance to do exactly the same on our Tour. I am excited at the possibilities," he added.
