How is Tiger Woods keeping up at the Genesis Invitational? Day 2 leaderboard explored

Tiger Woods dropped down to 33 positions after second at the 2023 Genesis Invitational. Woods made five bogeys and two birdies on Friday, February 17, to finish at the 74 with a score of three.

He settled at T60 alongside Corey Conners, Emiliano Grillo, Nick Taylor, Christian Bezuidenhout, Matthias Schwab, Xander Schauffele, Rickie Fowler, JB Holmes, Wyndham Clark, and Patton Kizzire.

After the second round, Max Homa maintained his lead with a scoring deficit of 10. Jon Rahm ended the second round at 69 to finish at under 9 to settle at T2 alongside Keith Mitchell and Lee Hodges.

Max Homa opened up about his performance in the second round and said:

“It was pretty fun to rely on my short game and have it bail me out. I’ve been working hard to make a weakness to at least be average. To have it be a strength today was awesome.”

Homa was proud to maintain the lead after 18 hole at the 2023 Genesis Invitational and said:

"I kind of feel like I should be doing this when I’m playing well, and I am playing well. Yeah, it’s exciting, 36-hole leads are awesome. Like I said, there’s a long way to go, but regardless, I can rest on the fact I’m playing great golf and I’m just going to try and do that for two more days.”
