“I haven't felt like that in a long time”: Bryson DeChambeau compares his Eagle at PGA Championship to shooting 58 at Greenbrier 

Bryson DeChambeau hit an eagle in the third round of the 2024 PGA Championship. The third round concluded at Valhalla Gold Club in Louisville, Kentucky on May 18, 2024.

The 30-year-old LIV Golfer hit an eagle on the 18th hole, also known as 'Photo Finish' at Valhalla. After the round, while talking about the shot, DeChambeau called the experience "exhiliarating".

"Exhilarating. I haven't felt like that in a long time. The only other time I felt like it was when I shot 58 at Greenbrier. That was pretty exciting there. I was pretty pumped," he said (via NUCLRGOLF).

In the 2023 LIV Season, Bryson DeChambeau carded a 58 in the third and final round at LIV Golf Greenbrier in White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia. He secured 13 birdies and a bogey to finish the round with a score of 12 under in the round. DeChambeau finished with a score of 23-under 187 in the 54 holes to win the tournament.

At Valhalla on Friday, May 18, the 30-year-old took three shots in the par-5 18th to finish with a score of 4-under 67. He secured two birdies on the first and seventh hole and a bogey on the sixth in the front nine. On the back nine, he secured a birdie on the 13th and concluded with an eagle on the 18th.

Bryson DeChambeau is currently tied at T4 on the leaderboard with Shane Lowry and Viktor Hovland with an overall score of 13-under 200. They are two strokes behind leaders Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa, who have a score of 15-under 198.

DeChambeau, Crushers GC captain is the top LIV Golfer on the leaderboard. He will tee off at 2:15 PM ET with Viktor Hovland on Sunday, May 19.

Bryson DeChambeau has had a standout 2024 season. DeChambeau, who joined, LIV Golf in 2022, is currently positioned at 12th in the overall rankings this season. He has had five top-10 finishes in the eight starts this season.
