Josh Allen was left star-struck after meeting Tiger Woods, who made his return to the PGA Tour with the Genesis Invitational. The Buffalo Bills quarterback is a fan of Tiger Woods and was present at the Riviera Country Club on Sunday to watch the legend play his fourth round of the event.

Allen shook hands with Woods and both shared a few words of praise and encouragement for each other.

Allen, in his own words, was elated after meeting one of his sports idols.

“He’s one of the only athletes ever, he and Kobe (Bryant) are the two guys that I actually felt my heart beat faster when he’s standing over a putt for a tournament. I legit felt the pressure with him. That was pretty cool, I'll never forget it. I’m kinda speechless.”

Josh Allen is a big golf fan. He was also seen participating in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am a few weeks ago.

Woods had a mixed outing at the Riviera Country Club with a couple of good rounds. He showed glimpses of his old self in a few shots but missed several putts. The highlight of the first day was his three straight birdies on the last three holes. In four days, he shot scores of 69,74, 67, and 73 to conclude the week at 1-under 283.

It was Jon Rahm who took all the glory with his third triumph of the year. The Genesis Invitational was his fifth title in the last nine starts. He concluded the final round at 17-under to beat Max Homa by a two-stroke margin. With the victory, he became the new World No. 1, displacing Scottie Scheffler.

During the week, Woods fell into unwanted controversy when he handed a tampon to Justin Thomas after hitting a longer tee shot than him. This caused severe backlash for which Tiger had to apologize later.

The Genesis Invitational was Tiger Woods' first official event since the 150th Open last July and the first non-Major PGA Tour event in more than two years. Although he appeared at the PNC Championship and Capital One's exhibition "The Match" in between, they were not the official PGA event that brought a different kind of seriousness to the tournament.

Tiger Woods suffered serious injuries in a car accident two years back. The injury has forced him out of action for a long time and he has made it clear that he will not be able to play a fully-fledged schedule.

Woods repeated that his priority will be to play in all four Majors and that other events can take a back seat. Having played three Majors last year, he is hopeful he will play all four.

Woods added that he was rusty in the tournament but his game was good. If it were not for the silly mistakes, he could have done a little better.

"I didn’t quite pick up the speed of the greens each and every day fast enough, like I normally would if I was playing," said Woods.
