Brooks Koepka won the LIV Golf Orlando on Sunday. With this, the 32-year-old became the first LIV golfer to win twice on the series. Celebrating his win, Koepka came out to reveal that he is “looking forward” to playing at the 2023 Masters with PGA Tour players.

Koepka, who is one of the 18 LIV members on the 2023 Masters field, revealed that he 'misses playing' against the PGA Tour stars. Addressing the same, Koepka stated that he is certainly excited to go up against Rory McIlroy, the Irishman looking to complete the career Grand Slam this week, as well as defending champion Scottie Scheffler.

Speaking about The Masters in an exclusive interview with Sky Sports after his LIV Golf Orlando win in Florida, Brooks Koepka said:

"It'll be great just to see all the good players back, back in one field again, right? It's the first time we've seen it in a long time. That'll be exciting. I'm looking forward to it, just to see everybody and compete against them. At the end of the day, I'll be honest, I do miss playing against Rory (McIlroy), I do miss playing against Scottie (Scheffler), and I'm sure they miss playing against us.”

Emphasizing on the comment, he said:

"That's a fact; you always want to play against the best. That's going to make Augusta even more special. I think if one of the LIV players does win, I think it'll be definitely a huge statement for LIV."

Brooks Koepka exudes confidence ahead of Masters

It is pertinent to note that Koepka will head to The Masters with a victory to his name this week. Having claimed an impressive one-shot win at the LIV Golf League event, the golfer will be looking to maintain the form into the Augusta event. The four-time major champion even stated that he feels confident heading into The Masters weekend.

Koepka said, as quoted by Sky Sports:

"I'm playing good, and there's really no better way to go into Augusta than playing good and getting a win. I'm very confident - I like where the game is at.”

He added:

"Just need to go out and try to rest up for three days, do my usual play nine holes every day and do the homework around these greens, just get a little more adjusted with Augusta."

Koepka’s words coming in just days ahead of The Masters exude confidence for LIV Golf fans. With the PGA Tour vs LIV Golf controversy around, many including players, fans and experts, are expecting some serious battle for the green jacket. According to the event officials, a total of 18 LIV Golf players qualified for the prestigious tournament.

A confident Koepka will join the likes of Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, Sergio Garcia, Bubba Watson, Phil Mickelson, and Charl Schwartzel, among others at the event. He will also be meeting McIlroy, Scheffler, and Tiger Woods at the Champions Dinner.
