In Pictures: Check out New Balance’s latest $140 golf shoes 

New Balance recently announced the new 550 Golf SL "White/Green" shoes set to launch on April 23, 2024, for $140.

New Balance took inspiration from the iconic 550 basketball shoe to create the 550 Golf SL. The 550 Golf uses waterproof microfiber leather and NDurance® spikeless rubber outsole in a retro white and green colorblock.

Carey Langley, vice-president of New Balance's KloneLab, said during the announcement of the new 550 Golf SL:

"Our job on the golf footwear side is to tap into those archives but reimagine them to be sure they also meet the performance needs of today’s golfer."

New Balance released a Limited Edition Masters 997 in 2023. The shoe features the iconic Masters green and yellow in a white leather setting with spikes. The shoe retails for $120.

While no current golfer reportedly wears New Balance's golf shoes on tour, Sam Saunders was spotted wearing New Balance's Minimus LX golf shoes in 2015.

New Balance currently makes golf shoes only for men but will look to expand and improve their golf line.
