The Chennai Pro Championship is scheduled to be held at the Tamil Nadu Golf Federation (TNGF) Cosmo Golf Course from August 20 to 23. A total of 126 golfers will compete in Chennai in the four-day event.
The tournament will feature the likes of Veer Ahlawat, Manu Gandas, Rashid Khan, Karandeep Kochhar, Chikkarangappa, Shaurya Binu, and Udayan Mane. Foreign golfers will also take the field in Chennai in the inaugural edition of the Pro Championship.
N Thangaraja, K Prabagaran and Anura Rohana from Sri Lanka, Jamal Hossain and Badal Hossain from Bangladesh, Subash Tamang from Nepal, Sukhraj Singh Gill from Canada, Makoto Iwasaki from Japan, Dominic Piccirillo from the United States of America, Stepan Danek from the Czech Republic and Si In Kim from South Korea are a few foreign players in the tournament.
Former Indian cricketer Murali Vijay will be one of the three amateur golfers in action at the Chennai Pro Championship 2024.
Mr. Uttam Singh Mundy, CEO of PGTI, was quoted as saying in a media release:

What is the prize money at the Chennai Pro Championship 2024?
The total prize pool in the inaugural Chennai Pro Championship is ₹50 lakh. The winner will receive ₹7.5 lakh, and the runners-up gets ₹5 lakh. The third and fourth-placed golfer will receive ₹2,99,900/- and ₹2,49,900/-, respectively.
The golfers placed between fifth and 50th position will also receive prize money ranging between ₹1,99,950/- and ₹38,350/-.
