Victoria National Golf will not host the Korn Ferry Tour Championship after 2023

The Korn Ferry Tour Championship will be the last professional golf event played at Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh. It was announced on Tuesday, February 28, that Tri-State will not host any professional golf after this fall. The Korn Ferry Tour Championship will take place from October 5-8.

Starting next year, Pete Dye Course in French Lick will take over the tournament for at least five years.

It was reported last year that Dormie Network, the owner of Victoria National, has left the 10-year hosting contract in its fifth year. Since the new agreement has not been finalized, the season-ending tournament of the Korn Ferry Tour will take place at a different location.

“It just didn’t fit their model, they didn’t like giving up that week from what I understand. For the amount of time we had to make the move, French Lick was on our radar from the get-go,” said Ron Romain, Executive Director of United Companies.

Victoria National has hosted professional golf since 2012. The United Leasing Championship/United Leasing & Finance Championship was played here for the first seven years. In 2019, The Korn Ferry Tour's season-ending event was moved to the Victoria National.
