Jennifer Kupcho surpasses Brooke Henderson in rankings after ShopRite LPGA Classic triumph

Jennifer Kupcho has overtaken Brooke Henderson in the world rankings following her ShopRite LPGA Classic triumph last Sunday. With her fourth LPGA Tour win, she jumped 17 spots to break into the top 50.

On Sunday, June 8, Jennifer Kupcho fired a 5-under 66 in the third round of the ShopRite LPGA Classic to post a one-shot win over Ilhee Lee. This marked her fourth win on the LPGA Tour, but her first in three years.

On Monday, June 9, Kupcho jumped 17 spots to rank 45th in the Rolex Women’s Golf Rankings. This is the first time since March that she has been back in the top 50. On the other hand, Brooke Henderson has slipped to 46th due to an underwhelming season.

Brooke Henderson has had an underwhelming season, where she has missed four cuts in 12 starts. So far, she hasn't finished better than T9 at T-Mobile Match Play, her only top ten finish this year.

As per the latest Rolex Women’s Golf Rankings, Nelly Korda continues to retain the top spot, followed by Jeeno Thitikul and Lydia Ko. While both Thitikul and Ko have won this season, the World No. 1 golfer remains winless. Ruoning Yin and Haeran Ryu round out the top five in the latest rankings.
