Jordan Spieth has a three-word response to a close lip out at US Open Round 1

Jordan Spieth reacted to his brutal lip-out in the opening round of the 2025 US Open. In the third major of the year, the American golfer had a decent start to his game.

Spieth teed up on the tenth hole and made three bogeys and three birdies on the front nine, while on the back added two birdies and two bogeys for an even par. He was close to making a par on the ninth hole, his 18th for the day. But unfortunately, he struggled and had a lip-out, resulting in a bogey on the hole, and with that, he settled with an overall of even par.

Speaking of his brutal lip-out, Spieth said:

"That's not cool!"

The opening round of the 2025 US Open was one of the hardest ones in the history of the game. The tournament leader, J.J. Spaun, settled at 4-under; he played a round of 66. Meanwhile, Thriston Lawrence settled in a solo second place.

Rory McIlroy struggled with his game and tied for 62nd place at 4-over. Justin Thomas settled at 6-over. Jordan Spieth tied for 11th at even par.
