Ian Poulter has called for a compromise between the PGA Tour and the PIF-backed LIV Golf. The golf world started going through turmoil when the PIF started a new golf tour and signed numerous prominent golfers from the PGA Tour. The PGA Tour, in return, banned the golfers who joined the rival league, and the animosity between the two sides increased.
Things started to improve last year after the two tours announced the Framework Agreement to work together for the betterment of golf. But the deal seems to be moving at a snail's pace. LIV Golfer Poulter gave his opinion on the PGA - PIF agreement and called for collaboration (via Golf Monthly):
"Look, I think the bigger picture would be having a collaboration where the best players in the world have an opportunity to compete again with one another. How that lays itself out, we have yet to see but hopefully, the game of golf will put us back in that position at some point," Poulter said.

"Again, how that's going to look with the amount of events that we have on LIV and how people can perhaps cross over to both maybe PGA Tour, DP World Tour and obviously the Asian Tour, it is finding a way to make it work for everybody. Find out a way to make it right so there is going to have to be a level of compromise from all sides, to be honest, to make it work," Poulter added.
The 48-year-old golfer believes some people in the outside world are frustrated, but the deal is more complex than it seems. However, Poulter is optimistic that they will find a way to work things out soon.
