Matthieu Pavon excited to team up with the 'French GOAT' for the Grant Thornton Invitational 2024

Matthieu Pavon will play at the Grant Thornton Invitational in December. It would be a team event where PGA and LPGA golfers will play together. This year, Pavon will play with French phenom Celine Boutier to fight for the $4 million purse.

Pavon declared the news officially on X and shared that he was ‘excited’ to play with Boutier at the Tiburón Golf Club in Naples, Florida.

“Great news! Super excited to be teaming up with the French GOAT, Céline Boutier, for the Grant Thornton Invitational! @gtinvitational Let’s go!!!” Pavon wrote.

The Grant Thornton Invitational will be a three-day event from December 13 to 15. Jason Day and Lydia Ko triumphed in the last edition with a score of 26 under.

The pair shot seven birdies on the front nine of the opening round, followed by five birdies on the back nine along with an eagle to finish at 58. They dropped seven birdies in the second round to land at 66.

In the last round, the duo fired two birdies on the front nine and four on the back nine to finish at 66.
