Max Homa: Max Homa makes another big change for the 2025 season, golf insider reports

US golfer Max Homa has been in the mood to drop bombshell news updates recently. After announcing that he was parting ways with golf equipment giant Titleist, he has appointed a new swing coach according to reports.

Sean Martin of the PGA Tour took to X to share this latest update. He wrote:

"Max Homa has a new swing coach: John Scott Rattan. He’s the director of instruction at Congressional. They started right after the ZOZO in late October."

He also quoted Homa's words on this collaboration with Rattan.

"The priority has been covering the golf ball. My chest just gets late and the club gets stuck behind me and I end up playing a lot of golf with my hands. We’ve been working on getting my chest to keep going, to never slow down. It helps my cut, but it’s the best I’ve ever drawn the golf ball, as well," he added.

Rattan also works with Stewart Cink, Beau Hossler, and Joseph Bramlett.

Is Max Homa playing at the Sentry in Hawaii?

Max Homa will be starting his 2025 season at the Sentry in Hawaii. He is paired alongside Sahith Theegala and Tony Finau and the trio will tee off at 4:27 pm ET at the Kapalua Plantation Course on Thursday.

The Sentry features a 60-player field with some iconic names such as Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Sungjae Im, Si Woo Kim, Will Zalatoris, and Akshay Bhatia among others going against each other.
