Nelly Korda’s 2024 season becomes historic as she sets record for highest single-season score percentage in LPGA history

Nelly Korda created a record for shooting most rounds in the 60s this season on the LPGA Tour. The American golfer has had a remarkable outing playing in 2024. She won seven tournaments, including a phenomenal streak of winning five back-to-back events.

Nelly Korda has carded the most rounds of the 60s in 63.2% of her rounds played. Notably, this is the highest percentage in the history of the LPGA Tour for a single season for players who played more than 50 rounds in a season. Golf analyst Justin Ray shared the stats about Nelly Korda on his X (formerly Twitter) account, writing:

"Nelly Korda finished the 2024 @LPGA season shooting in the 60s in 63.2% of her rounds played. That is the highest single-season percentage of rounds in the 60s all-time by a player with 50 or more rounds that year."

Notably, the World No. 1 had recently competed at the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship. In the tournament, she was remarkable with her game, shooting three rounds in the 60s. She shot a second round of 66, followed by a third round of 69, and another round of 66, finishing in a tie for fifth place. Prior to that, she won the ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at the Pelican event, in which she shot all four rounds in the 60s.

A look into Nelly Korda's performance on the LPGA Tour in 2024

Korda started the season at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, where she shot four rounds of 71, 69, 72, and 74, settling in T16 position. After a decent start to the season, Korda went on to win five consecutive events.

She won the LPGA Drive On Championship and then won the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship. She also clinched the trophies at the T-Mobile Match Play, The Chevron Championship, and Ford Championship.

Out of the 16 tournaments Nelly Korda played this year, she made the cut in 13 and won seven of them. She recorded 11 finishes in the top-10.
