Charlie Woods' debut at the US Junior Amateur didn't go as expected, as he missed the cut by a wide margin. However, a few of his shots reminded fans of his superstar dad, Tiger Woods.

Woods carded scores of 80 and 82 in the two rounds at the US Junior Amateur, missing the cut by eighteen strokes. Over the two days at Oakland Hills Country Club, he managed just three birdies, while making eight bogeys, seven double bogeys, and a triple bogey.

On Thursday, July 25, an X user named John Howting shared a clip of the US Junior Amateur, where Woods Jr. is seen hitting from the rough.

"Charlie is a hell of a player," one user commented. "Could beat 98% of us peanut gallery watchers. May not go pro but whatever. He is out there getting after it. Pulling for him."
"Can we stop please. There is nothing even remotely like his father in his game. Give the kids break. He’s a very lightly above average amateur for his age. Nothing more . There are a thousand kids in the country equal to him at his age level," one fan opined.

"They say he’s miles behind some kids but one massive advantage he has on them is he’s comfortable playing in front of a crowd and having a camera on him," this user remarked.
"Can’t imagine the pressure Charlie is under. Kudos to Charlie for always grinding," this fan wrote.

Has Charlie Woods made a PGA Tour debut yet?

Charlie Woods hasn't made his PGA Tour debut yet, but he tried to qualify at the Cognizant Classic earlier this year. He carded a 16-over 86 in one of the pre-qualifiers. His round included four bogeys, two double bogeys, and an octuple bogey.

Charlie Woods is in his sophomore year at The Benjamin School in Palm Beach, Florida.
