PGA Tour player Max Homa trolled J.T. Poston's caddie Aaron Flener and his partner Brooke Grosmick's Halloween costumes. Flener has been Poston's caddie since 2017 and has also caddied for the likes of Stephan Jaeger and Kent Bulle.
On the eve of Halloween, Flener shared his Halloween look via X (formerly Twitter), where he was seen wearing an orange prison jumpsuit with a "Free Scottie" T-shirt underneath. The caddie, also known as "Big Cat", dressed as a prisoner while his partner wore a police officer costume with a navy blue dress, a badge, and tall black boots.
In the picture, Grosmick is holding onto Flener's wrist as if she is restraining him. Flener captioned the post:
"#FreeScottie"
In response to the post, Max Homa humorously commented:
"That officer ripped his pants much less than that from what I was told," Homa wrote.
Flener also posted a Tiktok video on his X account in his Halloween costume, captioning it:
"I’m a tik tok'er now?"
Flener and his partner imitated Scottie Scheffler's arrest before the second round of the PGA Championship at Valhalla. The World No.1 was arrested and charged with four counts including reckless driving and assaulting a police officer with his vehicle.
The incident happened when Scheffler was driving towards the course before the second round.
J.T. Poston reflects on winning his third PGA Tour win at Shriners Children's Open with his caddie
J.T. Poston recently won the 2024 Shriners Children's Open. He won the tournament by one stroke over Doug Ghim. This was his third PGA Tour victory, all three wins coming with Aaron Flener on his bag.
Crediting his caddie, he posted a picture with Flener and captioned:
"#3 with @aflener (Aaron Flener) What a week in Vegas @shrinersopen . Thank you all for the messages flowing in it means the world to have the support that we do week in and week out! Thank you to our sponsors for incredible partnerships for many years to come!"
J.T. Poston's first two PGA Tour victories came at the 2019 Wyndham Championship and 2022 John Deere Classic. In the post-tournament press conference, Poston said (via Golfweek):
"I know I had a comfortable lead for the most of day but it never felt safe. Doug was playing great and I felt like I was kind of just plotting it around.
Poston scored 64, 65, 66, and 67 in the four rounds at the Shriners Children's Open. He scored five birdies against a bogey in the final round while Dough Ghim scored 6-under 65 in the final round with four birdies and an eagle. Talking about it, Poston said:
"Doug was obviously making some birdies, and he made a nice three there on 9 and was applying the pressure. I told myself I was playing good, putting good, just trying to stay in my own lane. But, yeah, those putts on 9 and 10 to keep the lead and never quite give it up was big. I mean, thankfully was able to knock one in there on 18," he said.
J.T. Poston had a great 2024 season. He finished 41st in the FedExCup standings with five top-10 finishes in 24 starts and is currently 40th on the OWGR rankings.
