Xander Schauffele has arrived in Paris for golf at the 2024 Olympics, sending a message to his competitors that he is ready to defend his gold medal.

On Sunday, July 28, Schauffele arrived at Le Golf National in Paris for the 2024 Olympics. He is coming off a triumph at the Open Championship last Sunday. This week, he is one of the four male golfers representing the US in Paris.

On Sunday, an account named Olympic Golf shared an introduction video of Xander Schauffele on X (formerly Twitter).

"Just arrived on site at Le Golf National," he said in a video. "Ready to defend my gold medal. Hope to see everyone out there"

Notably, in the last Olympics in Tokyo, Schauffele defeated Rory Sabbatini of Slovakia by one stroke to win the gold medal. This time, he is once again competing for the gold and is arriving with two major championship wins this year.

Wyndham Clark, Collin Morikawa, and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler are the other three players representing the United States at the 2024 Olympics. Schauffele will get a tough challenge from Scheffler, who has won six events this season.
