Reserve golfer tops International Series’ ‘pathway to LIV’ rankings with 6 events remaining

Although John Catlin was a reserve golfer in LIV Golf this season, he might secure a full-season ticket next year. He is currently leading the International Series ranking, which could secure him a Saudi-backed league card for next season.

Catlin played in LIV Golf, replacing Charles Howell III at the LIV Golf Houston. He eventually went on to compete in six events, including the Team Championship, where he replaced Legion XIII captain Jon Rahm.

Additionally, Catlin competed in three International Series events, winning one and finishing as the runner-up in another. So far, he has collected 590.88 points, which is around 147 points ahead of second-placed Ben Campbell in the International Series Rankings.

For the uninitiated, the International Series are Asian Tour events funded by the Saudi-backed circuit. The player who leads by the end of the season will be awarded a LIV Golf contract.

Although Catlin is currently at the top, there are still six events left to be played this season, giving other players plenty of opportunities to claim the top spot.
