Rickie Fowler to play as free agent after seeing through deal to play a TaylorMade ball and glove: Reports

As per reports, Rickie Fowler's deal with TaylorMade has come to an end, as both parties decided not to renew the agreement for this season. As a result, he will be seen using a Titleist ball in 2025 as a free agent.

Fowler was last seen competing in the TGL's inaugural match, where his team, New York GC, faced defeat against Bay GC. During the match, he was spotted sporting the EY logo, indicating a significant change.

On Monday, January 13, Golfweek reported that Fowler signed a deal with Ernst & Young, replacing his previous partnership with Grant Thornton. Fowler stated that he had a great run with the popular CPA firm and ended the partnership on "good" terms.

"They were in a position where they wanted to get back into the golf space a bit more," Fowler said as per Golfweek. "Lucky for me I happened to be in the right place at the right time and everything came together organically."

Besides, the six-time PGA Tour winner also ended his deal with TaylorMade ball and glove but did not sign with another company. He told Golfweek that he felt there were more options as a free agent and that he would use the Titleist Pro V1 for now.

When will Rickie Fowler compete next?

Rickie Fowler will next compete at the American Express 2025, scheduled to take place from Thursday, January 16, to Sunday, January 19, in La Quinta, California.

The American Express will feature a 156-player field with a purse of $8.8 million, and the winner will receive a $1.584 million share. Fowler has competed in this event seven times but has missed the cut on three occasions. His best result came in 2020 when he tied for tenth.

Rickie Fowler hasn't won a title since the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic. Last year, he played 23 events and missed six cuts. His fourth-place finish at the Zozo Championship was his only top-10 result last season.
