The 2023 Waste Management Phoenix Open is set to be one of the biggest events of the PGA Tour schedule. The event is set to take place from February 9 to 12 at TPC Scottsdale in Arizona and boasts a star-studded lineup.

The $20 million event has 23 of the top 24 OWGR players on it and will be headlined by World No.1 Rory McIlroy.

Unsurprisingly, McIlroy leads the WM Phoenix Open’s odds list as well. The Irishman also gets the pick from the PGA Tour experts as well. According to American circuit pundits, McIlroy has the best odds, owing to his stellar run of form.

The World No.1 is set to make his PGA Tour debut in 2023, off the back of a Dubai Desert Classic win.

Rory McIlroy is the PGA Tour experts pick to win WM Phoenix Open

Rory McIlroy had a stellar year in 2022. The golfer won in Dubai again two weeks ago and is set to continue his form. McIlroy hasn’t performed in the WM Phoenix Open since 2021 when he finished T13. The golfer will be looking to better his form in the tournament with his latest outing.

According to PGA Tour experts, the closest competition McIlroy gets is from Jon Rahm. The Spaniard is yet another favorite on the PGA Tour’s roster. However, the No. 1 ranked player in the world has an 8-1 odds at the event, as compared to No. 3 Rahm’s 17-2.

Xander Schauffele, Scottie Scheffler, Tony Finau and Collin Morikawa are some of the other big names in contention for the top prize at TPC Scottsdale in Arizona. It is also pertinent to note that the experts don’t predict any surprise performances at the event from players outside the top 20.
