Rory McIlroy is highly focused on the upcoming Masters. He has been practicing for the tournament since missing the cut at the 2023 Players Championship. His disappointing performance in the tournament made fans doubt his game at The Masters.

However, the former World No.1 is trying every possible way to improve his game. He changed his golf gear at the 2023 Genesis Invitational Open and used the same at the Players Championship, which reportedly affected his game.

A recent report by the fan page Nuclr Golf claimed that McIlroy could once again change his equipment at the Augusta National Golf Course.

The Northern Irish golfer is yet to win The Masters and will definitely not lose his chance to wear the green jacket this year. According to reports, he will change his driver, which is believed to be the prominent reason for his degraded performance at the Players Championship.

The fan's account tweeted:

"Country Club Collection says Rory’s equipment change is drastic and doesn’t involve the driver. Apparently “tore it up” at Augusta with the gear swap, and it will be revealed soon."

It is important to note that the Masters will kick start on April 6 and will continue until April 9. Rory McIlroy will compete in the Dell Match Play before that and could possibly make changes to this week's event to avoid risk at The Masters.

"He's still with TaylorMade?" - Fans inquire about Rory McIlroy's equipment change

As reports surfaced about the changes in Rory McIlroy's golf gear, fans wondered if he would get back to Titleist. McIlroy currently uses TaylorMade equipment, but as his performance is constantly degrading, he might switch brands.

People jumped into the comments section of the Nuclr Golf post and asked:

"so he's still with TaylorMade? How is that drastic? Drastic would be seeing him show up with a TSR."

The fan account replied and said:

"Could be anything. Could be a putter or irons. Already moved to Vokey wedges. We will see."

Someone mentioned that since he left Titleist to join TaylorMade, he hasn't won a major tournament. Fans tweeted:

"Rory hasn’t won a major since leaving Titleist. Wouldn’t be shocked if it’s Titleist irons. TM truthfully only cares about the driver and golf ball."
